Potala Palace

Our last day in Tibet-we started the day with breakfast and then dad and I were in the first group to head to the palace at 9:30. I’m so glad we got an early start. While it was a beautiful day, the sun grew quite warm. As we were finishing up, it was downright hot. It was a steep climb, but definitely the altitude was the biggest factor. We had a nice tour and after the palace, had a brief pit stop before we picked up the second group and headed to lunch. After lunch, we went to see the monks debating. That was interesting!  We then returned again to the hotel for dinner. The buffet was so-so. Dad and I had a nice drink at the bar before dinner. Bed again early, we need to have our bags out by 7 and meet the bus at 8:30 to head to the airport. Ready to get on the ship!!
