We landed in Chongqing early, and interesting facts per Ray-Chongqing is the most populous city in China-32mil people! We had some time to kill before getting on the ship so Ray took us to a downtown area. Holy smokes it was hot. We walked around for about 20 mins, and it felt like I was at home. One good thing, I instantly felt the improved lower altitude effects. Ahhhhh! I’ll take heat over the high altitude sickness. This city does have some familiar sights!
Finally we got to head to the ship and we have an awesome suite! Our group was the first onboard so we got the run of the place for a short while. Unfortunately that didn’t last too long. Diane and I booked our massages for Thursday afternoon and we all relaxed in the lounge before dinner. After dinner, we hung out in the lounge again and then back in the room. I think I had a little too much wine last night. I still slept well and feel good this morning. The room is very humid, and we’re havung a bit of a thunderstorm this morning. I’m sure it will clear up before our afternoon excursion to climb a pagoda.
